Notes from Session …

~ Lucy Kittle was removed from the   church rolls upon her death.

~ The Paper Pantry continues to be a most needed mission project, providing paper products for as many as forty people per month.  The Women of Faith will ask the congregation to donate paper products to the pantry throughout the month of September. 

~ The Building and Grounds Committee is contacting roofing contractors for estimates to replace shingles in several areas of the roof.

~ The Worship Committee announced that we will celebrate Reformation Sunday on October 30th.  A bagpiper will provide special music.  The committee suggests that we invite members of the community with Scottish heritage to join us for the Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan ceremony that morning. 

~ We will participate in the Hanging of the Greens (decorating the church for Advent) on Sunday, November 20th.

~ A member of the Ghana Partnership will lead worship on Sunday, September 18th.  A fellowship hour will follow the worship service.

~ The Nominating Committee is finalizing their slate of church officers for the 2017 calendar year.

~ Elders approved study leave for Rev. Dr. Jones October 31- November 4, 2016.
